no love for the master of hope and change

more insinuation that our beloved leader might not be all he’s cracked up to be.  things start off benignly enough:

It would be unfair to pounce all over Team Obama this early in their administration. After all, while the Democrats bear a lot of responsibility for the knee-deep toxic mess now covering the floor of the engine room, the bulk of the responsibility has to rest on the shrugging shoulders of Obama’s immediate predecessor and those that came before him.

Early though it may be, however, it’s not too early to come right out and say what needs to be said: when it comes to the steps being taken to address the current crisis, Obama has no clothes. [Read more →]

what three decades have taught me

i found this while packing up for the upcoming move.

last year, for my thirty-first birthday, i wrote a short chapbook and gave it to a number of my friends.  i also ended up giving a number of them away at the first art show in which let-off studios participated.  below is more or less the complete text of the book.  each page of ‘what three decades have taught me’ is separated by a “///”.  each page has a single phrase of collected dubious wisdom garnered during my earlier days.  it’s not that long. this is the first time i’ve ever drawn anyone naked (well, the subject, that is…not myself).  but if there’s anything that doesn’t discriminate or make value judgments, unbeholden to appearances, then it’s time.  i’m pretty happy with how this one turned out.
