“primitive,” for illustration friday. ink and charcoal on card stock.

artist comments: i could have gone the easy route, and drawn a neanderthal or something like that. but i had to be difficult. this image is actually slightly modified from my original idea, and i’m happy i took another day to think on it more.
not sure where i was going with this idea, but something’s in there.

Yes, there is a lot of great texture at the larger size! I like this. It reminds me of illustrations in textbooks about archaeology which got me hooked on it as a kid.
